Jasmine Sellars is a dedicated, student multimedia journalist with a passion for storytelling through print and broadcast.
As a intern reporter at Newsday, Jasmine has worked in print, TV and social media, covering local stories across Long Island and NYC.
Jasmine is currently a 21-year-old graduate student at Hofstra University, pursuing a major in journalism.
She was also an intern reporter at The Oceanside & Island Park Herald Community Newspaper, where she earned five front page stories, including a noteworthy interview with Congressman Anthony D'Esposito.
In broadcast, Jasmine is a head anchor for Hofstra Today and The Long Island Report, two pre-recorded, student-run TV programs on The Heat Network.
Off campus, Jasmine is recognized as a Girl Scout of Greater New York (GSGNY) and is a 2021 Girl Scout Gold Award Recipient.
