Jasmine Sellars is a dedicated, student multimedia journalist with a passion for storytelling through print and broadcast.
She is now a freelance writer at Newsday Media Group.
As a intern reporter at Newsday, Jasmine has worked in print, TV and social media, covering local stories across Long Island and NYC.
Jasmine is currently a graduate student at Hofstra University, pursuing a major in journalism.
In broadcast, Jasmine is a head anchor for Hofstra Today and The Long Island Report, two student-produced TV programs on The Heat Network.
Jasmine has interned Blank Slate Media and The Oceanside & Island Park Herald Community Newspaper, where she landed five front page stories, including an interview with Congressman Anthony D'Esposito.
Off campus, Jasmine is recognized as a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts of Greater New York (GSGNY) and is a 2021 Girl Scout Gold Award Recipient.
